Rental taxi and bike  scams  in goa

Tattoo scams in goa:

This is how this scam is done. Someone will approach you and ask you if you want to have a temporary tattoo and because you are in go there is a chance that you will be interested in his offer.So he will tell you that it will charge only like 50 ₹  per inch.  You will  think that pricing is ok.

So then when you visit his shop he will show you some samples and ask you to choose one of them. Suppose you choose a 6 inches tattoo (thinking it will cost you 50 X 6= 300 ₹ ). Once the tattoo is done he will ask for 1200 ₹ and you will be shocked that this is even possible.

He will finally tell you that the price of the tattoo was 50 ₹  per square inch and that the tattoo he made was 6 inches in length and 4 inches in width so it is 6X 4 =24 square inches hence you have to pay him 24 X 50 = 1200₹. So to avoid this scam you should keep it in mind that the price of the tattoo is 50 ₹ per square inch.

What happens is that when you book your hotel room using some online method and reach to your hotel to get your room keys but they will refuse to do so and say that your room has already been rented to someone else due to any xyz reasons and there are no vacant rooms left  in that hotel and now you are nowhere to go.

The main reason for this scam is that during peak season time in Goa, if someone asks the hotel staff for a room, then they will charge him/her higher than your online booking payment and give him your room. If you don’t want to be stuck in such a position then you must call your hotel staff  and ask for the availability or the condition of your room before checking in, especially during peak season of goa.

Goa night clubs scams:

Again north goa scams are higher as compared to south goa scams in this category. When you enter a night club in Goa, some girls will approach you or may dance with you and ask you to buy drinks for them. If you are thinking that this is your lucky day and What happens in goa stays in goa then you are already trapped in this scam. Now they will drink a number of shots (you don’t know whether there is alcohol in it or it is just sprite) and you will end up paying a high bill.
